Randy River, California born, Toronto raised……He’s been skating and boarding professionally since 1972 when he developed the first snowboard based on the concept of ripping the fin off his surfboard. As unstable it was, the board allowed Randy to "snow surf” on ski hills in Ontario and Quebec.

In the late 70’s after numerous accidents and broken bones, Randy added strap bindings to help him control the board easier. In the 1980's he sanded down the sides and added steel edges to the board to help with control when he was snowboarding on hard packed snow. At first a lot of ski resorts would not let Randy use their slopes. In 1996 there were about two million snowboarders. Today there are over 5 million people who snowboard.

In 1985, Randy decided to develop a look that fit his personality…..he was tired of the tight fitting glitter disco apparel that was taking over. Consulting with Tommy Long his long time friend that he grew up with in California they developed the R2 line of clothing. Comfortable, loose fitting, rugged and screened with images that related to their style of life…..board wear was born and Randy open his first store on Yonge Street in Toronto.

Since then numerous board wear designers have appeared but few have been able to sustain. Two that have been able to keep up with Randy are Vision Street Wear and Airwalk both, now available exclusively in Canada at Randy River stores……

So, if you want to look great, feel great and be Randy, check any of Randy Rivers 65 stores
across Canada……

Randy River is the only retailer in Canda that sells brands Airwalk & Vision Street Wear.
